Command not found

Section titled “Command not found”

Use the package directly or install it globally:

npx @satiroglu/kaev@latest
npm install --global @satiroglu/kaev

An older version runs with npx

Include @latest and verify the resolved version:

npx @satiroglu/kaev@latest --version

Exit code 1

Analysis completed, but a finding reached the configured failure threshold. Review the findings or change --fail-on deliberately.

Exit code 2

Section titled “Exit code 2”

Run kaev doctor and inspect configuration, filesystem diagnostics, Node.js compatibility, and analyzer availability.

UI5 Linter is unavailable

Section titled “UI5 Linter is unavailable”

Run:

kaev doctor
kaev check --verbose

Use --no-ui5-lint only as an explicit partial-coverage choice.

Output has no colors

Section titled “Output has no colors”

Colors are automatic only in an interactive terminal. Check NO_COLOR, output redirection, and the --color setting.

A report cannot be created

  • Create the parent directory first.
  • Ensure the parent is not a symbolic link.
  • Choose a new filename if the target already exists.

KAEV intentionally has no overwrite flag.

The project is not detected

Section titled “The project is not detected”

Run KAEV from the UI5 project root containing ui5.yaml and the configured application source directory. Then run kaev doctor for detailed diagnostics.
